Departmental Activities :

• Scrutiny & Sanction of estimates pertaining to Amalapuram, Ramachandrapuram, Mandapeta Municipalities and Mummidivaram Nagar Panchayat. Monitoring the execution of works in the above Municipalities, Monitoring the water supply situation in the above municipalities. Execution of works sanctioned by the Government in the above Municipalities allotted to this department.

AMALAPURAM MUNICIPALITY:

Providing Water Supply Improvement Scheme :

• Population of Amalapuram town as per 2011 census : 53231
• Total capacity of Filtration plants required : 14.80 MLD
• Capacity of Filtration plants available : 5.36 MLD
• Capacity of Filtration Plants to be installed : 8.44 MLD

ELSRs available in the town :

• 1200 KL ELSR at Village Chavidi.
• 450KL ELSR at Municipal Office compound.
• 625 KL ELSR at Childrens Park.

To meet the deficiency in water supply requirements in the town, the Government of Andhra Pradesh accorded Administrative Sanction  vide GO Rt No. 16, Dt. 10.01.2022 for an amount of Rs.20.00 crores under Water Supply Improvement Scheme in Amalapuram Municipality consisting of the following major components.

• Construction of 9.00 MLD WTP and allied units at existing 64 ML S.S. Tank.
• Construction of 600 KL ELSR at Housing Board Colony.
• Construction of 500 KL ELSR at Gandhi Nagar.
• Construction of 600 KL ELSR at AVR Nagar.
• Providing trunk mains to the existing/proposed ELSRS in the town for a length of 6.00 KM.
• Providing distribution net work in various places of the town for a length of 5.13 KM.

1^st call Tenders invited for this scheme fixing the schedule date of receipt of tenders as 24.03.2022. 

Mummidivaram Nagar Panchayat

COMPREHENSIVE WATER SUPPLY IMPROVEMENT SCHEME UNDER AIIB:

Mummidivaram is a newly formed Nagar Panchayat and at present the water supply is being supplying through the borewells as well as through the pilot water supply scheme constructed by RWS department. The potable water supply is inadequate to the public of Mummidivaram Nagar Panchayat as per the Urban water supply standards.

In view of the water supply requirements, a Comprehensive Water supply Improvement Scheme for Mummidivaram has been sanctioned for Rs.115.68 crore under EAP (AIIB) programme consisting of two packages

• Head water Works and Gravity Mains
• Distribution Network.
• Package-1: Est Cost : Rs.91.46crores

Consisting of the following major components :

• Construction of Infiltration galleries at Ubalanka.
• Collection well cum pumphouse Ubalanka.
• 250 KL OHBR at Ubalanka.
• Providing 600/400mm dia DI Pipe line from Ubalanka to WTP.
• Construction of offtake chamber, collection well cum pumphouse at Thanlanka.
• Construction of 00MLD WTP and allied units at Mattadipalem of Mummidivaram.
• Construction of 500 KL ELSR at Somidevara Palem.
• Construction of 500 KL ELSR at Bondaikodu.
• Construction of 500KL ELSR at Ambedkar Nagar.
• Construction of 500 KL ELSR at Krapachintalapudi.
• Construction of 600KL ELSR at Ayyavaricheruvu.
• Connecting pipelines of diameters 300mm to 150mm from
•  WTP to various ELSRS to a length of 11.11Km.

This work is entrusted to M/S Sudhakara Infratech Private Ltd & Gaja Engineering Private Ltd, Hyderabad vide SE(PH) Agt No/ 34/2021-2022, Dt. 18.08.2021.

Detailed survey & Investigation completed. Submission of Designs in progress.

• Package -2 : Est Cost : Rs. 24.22 crores

Providing the following  HDPE distribution pipelines including meters, SCADA arrangements, House service connections.

• 110mm dia : 18.51 Km
• 160mm dia : 11.77 Km
• 200mm dia : 10.98 Km
• 250mm dia : 7.53 Km
• 315mm dia : 4.92 Km

           Total             : 53.71 Km

This work is entrusted to M/S Gaja Engineering Private Ltd vide SE(PH) Agt No/ 25/2018-2019, Dt. 20.02.2019. The work is under progress. Quantity of Pipes Supplied laid for a length of 6.318 Km.
